What was the film about?

The film was about the birth of cinema, and how certain camera angles and effects were created and used to show meaning in films.

The film goes on about how certain emotions are created within the scene, angles, what the actors do and how. many of the angles and effects were created by accident such as splicing footage so that cars and people disappeared and some were discovered deliberately to help get others to see what it feels like especially with the close up of the cat being fed with a spoon.

What did I gain from watching the film?

I gained some knowledge about some of the shots especially the 180 degree line rule. I also learned about a new kind of shot type which is called a 'Phantom ride' when you film a camera at the from of a moving train to create that flying ghost feeling.
